TOP 10 PEOPLE OR ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE IMPROVING THE WORLD
(If I can come up with 10...here goes-in no particular order)

1.Most of the waitresses at the Olive Garden -cute, friendly, great service
2.Echter's Greenhouse - great place to go and relax and get depressed that I can't own a house
3.That Dixie Chicks Video - art in a video? imagine that. Cute, even if they're overrated and tame in their protest of the american idiot.
4.The new-found respect for Johnny Cash -but do we really need a broadway musical?
5.Stephen Colbert- see previous post on the seeker of truth
6.Food Network - harmless, amusing, something positive to leave the tv on when you need background noise.
7.Anthony Bourdain - cooking/traveling shows including chainsmoking and getting drunk. This man knows what it's about. I highly recommend his books.
8.the White Stripes - a little overrated, sure, but one of the most original sounds to come along in a while -thank you.
9.T.A.P.S - these guys really give a legit spin to the paranormal investigating world. Course, it could be that I have a non-sexual admiration for Jason. The man is a monotone-guru.
10.Carlos Mencia - Nobody is safe, everything is hilarious

SOME UPDATES IN THE IDIOT KINGDOM

Not that anybody reads this stuff, but this is what's going on in my gravedigging world.
NEW BLOG- yep, as if this one wasn't enough. I am writing an entire novel in blog form (what would that be a Novblog, or Blovel or...) it will be a good experiment (writing on the fly-well not literally,that would be painful) we'll see how it goes. It is called this monkey's gone to heaven.

On nathantackett.org I will soon be releasing a serial A MIDWESTERN BOY'S HISTORY OF ROCK N ROLL. It goes through my experiences growing up in a culturally dried-up town and the music that kept it all rolling. It is a six-parter and should be up in a few weeks.
